Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed Talk to Their Unborn Child

A number of Hollywood celebrities have been marching and shouting recently about abortion rights and expressing their opinions that an unborn child is not really alive until birth. One celebrity couple, however, is giving a totally different message.

Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries) and Nikki Reed (Twilight) have recently announced that they are expecting their first baby. They had been keeping the pregnancy secret until now because, as Ian explained, they wanted the three of them to enjoy this time with each other, apparently without the Hollywood hoopla. He went on to say:

To our friends, family, and the rest of the world. In my 38 years on this
earth I have never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful
than this. I cannot think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first. This has been the most special
time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for
as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our
little one who is growing so fast…because that is what they do, they grow
so fast. Thank you for your kind energy… Love, Ian.

Likewise, Nikki Reed said:

Hi Little One. I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible
to love someone so much already? All I know for sure is it is the
strongest feeling I have ever felt. We have been sharing this body for
quite some time, and we have already experienced so much together.
We cannot wait to meet you… Love, Your Parents.

Apparently, Ian and Nikki have not bought into the abortion rights rhetoric and do not think of their child as a disposable commodity.
