Superstars Nicki Minaj and Toni Braxton Express Their Abortion Regrets

Abortion is not the easy solution many say it is, as attested to by superstars Nicki Minaj and Toni Braxton.

Minaj revealed that she had an abortion as a teenager sixteen years ago and that it has haunted her all her life. She even raps about the loss of her child in her album Pinkprint. She went on to say it was the hardest thing she had ever done, and she thought she was going to die.

Now she laments that if she is done with her fifth album and doesn’t have a child by then, no matter how much money she has, she will be disappointed as a woman because she feels she was put on earth to be a mother.

Likewise, Toni Braxton revealed in her memoir Unbreak My Heart that she had an abortion in her early thirties. She says she was on acne medicine at the time and was afraid she would have a baby with birth defects. She went on to say that she knew she was taking a life and believed that God would punish her.

Her guilt over the abortion later caused her to believe that God did, in fact, punish her by causing her son Diezel to have autism.

No matter who chooses to have an abortion or for what reason, abortion is not the easy way out that many profess it to be.
